Can the love of a good man convince this scared and frightened woman to trust again? Or is it only going to push her away?
With one quick movement, he turns me around tearing apart my blouse and pulling it away from my body. He holds his hand high above me holding the torn piece of cloth and then lets the blouse fall on the kitchen counter leaving me in my bra and skirt. My legs are shaking and I can’t even tell if I’m breathing or not. I try pulling away but I hit the glass of wine with my elbow and it shatters on the floor. I freeze knowing this situation just got worse.
“Not Afraid To Love You is a fantastic read!
When I first began this book it was a little difficult…in the sense of flashbacks. Lily is a victim of domestic violence, suffered from it for over two years. When she finally contacts her sister who talks her into leaving. You’ll have to read the book to see if she’s successful 😉
Jude really portrays the characters perfectly; the emotions and all. This book is very inspirational and a good motivator. I too am writing a book on domestic violence. Hopefully, these type of books will help the world see how much strain domestic violence puts on society. Domestic violence isn’t just women that get beat it’s men too; men just don’t report it as much.
Jude, thank you so much for writing Not Afraid To Love You. Very inspirational, fantastic read!” ~Cloe
