Wresltin Christmas Sales Blitz 12/8

Title: Wrestlin’ Christmas
Author: Shanna Hatfield
Genre: Rodeo Romance, Holiday Romance
He’s wrestling against the future
She’s trying to forget her past…
Sidelined with a major injury, steer wrestler Cort McGraw struggles to come to terms with the end of his career. Shanghaied by his sister and best friend, he finds himself on a run-down ranch with a worrisome, albeit gorgeous widow, and her silent, solemn son.
Five minutes after Cort McGraw lands on her doorstep, K.C. Peters fights to keep a promise she made to herself to stay away from single, eligible men. When her neighbor said he knew just the person to help work her ranch for the winter, she never expected the handsome, brawny former rodeo star to fill the position.
Ready to send him packing, her little boy has other plans…

USA Today Bestselling Author Shanna Hatfield writes character-driven romances with relatable heroes and heroines. Her historical westerns have been described as “reminiscent of the era captured by Bonanza and The Virginian” while her contemporary works have been called “laugh-out-loud funny, and a little heart-pumping sexy without being explicit in any way.”
Convinced everyone deserves a happy ending, this hopeless romantic is out to make it happen one story at a time. When she isn’t writing or indulging in chocolate (dark and decadent, please), Shanna hangs out with her husband, lovingly known as Captain Cavedweller.
Shanna is a member of Western Writers of America, Women Writing the West, Romance Writers of America, Sweet Romance Reads, Cowboy Kisses, and Pioneer Hearts.

Tall and brawny, Cort McGraw happened to be one of the most handsome men she’d ever seen. From his silvery-gray eyes rimmed with black eyelashes to the dimple in his all-too-attractive chin, she wished Kenzie had given her some warning. If she’d known what he looked like, that he was so young, rugged, and hunky, she would have told Tate not to bother sending Cort to her place.

Mercy, he smelled good, too. Even now, his manly, musky fragrance filled her senses. Annoyed with herself for savoring his heady scent, she brushed at her nose, hoping to chase away the lingering aroma of his aftershave.

The Day in the Life of an Author

I wish I could say an author’s life is filled with endless excitement. The truth? I spend most of my time alone with my characters. Not that I have anything to complain about. I love what I do. And because I hate to fly, I get to take trips on a whim, around the world, to exotic locations, all from the comfort of my own home.

What Am I Currently Reading?

I don’t read as much as I did before I started writing. So I’m much pickier when I do sit down with a book. At the moment, I’m in the middle of Secrets in Death by J. D. Robb. I’ve read all the books in the series. Eve and Roarke are my favorite couple of all time. Who doesn’t love a kick-ass woman and a man who stands right beside her through thick and thin?

What Can You Expect From Me In the Future?

I’m in the middle of the first book in a new series. I like to do a series every year—three to five books. I’ve done athletes and billionaires and movie moguls and rock stars. My new series, The Sisters Quartet, takes place in New York City. Four standalone books with a central villain the sisters have to take down. Four happy endings. The first book, ONE OF THESE DAYS, will be out in February. TWO OF A KIND in April. THREE WISHES in June. And FOUR SIMPLE WORDS in August. I like to do one standalone novel each year. And a Christmas novella.

Flowers in Winter by by Mary J. Williams

Excerpt #1
“Mr. Sherman—”
“Please. Call me Fleet. And before you get me that water? Your shirt is a bit,” Fleet cleared his throat. “Undone.”
“What?” Tula looked down. In her haste to open the front door, she’d only fastened the bottom button. She scrambled to finish the job, more angry than embarrassed. “Why didn’t you say something sooner?”
Fleet rolled to his feet, walked to the kitchen, and helped himself to a bottle of water from the refrigerator.
“I’ve had women flash more than their bras at me.” With an unconcerned shrug, he unscrewed the lid, taking a sip. “I didn’t want to comment until I was sure of your intentions. One way or the other.”

Excerpt #2

Tula’s heartbeat stuttered. Before she raced ahead, she had to make certain they were headed down the same road.
“You said you wanted me too much. What does too much mean?”
“I don’t want to hurt you. I sure as hell know I’m not good enough for you. I don’t take what isn’t freely offered. But make no mistake, I’m no saint. If you want me? Say. The. Words.”
The Irish in Fleet’s voice whispered across Tula’s skin like a warm summer’s breeze. He left the rest up to her. If she wanted the heated promise in his eyes, she had to be the one to jump.
Tula had come so far. She’d be a fool to turn back now. She didn’t hesitate. She said the words.
“I want you, Fleet Sherman.” Confident and a bit cocky, Tula tipped her head to one side. “Now, what are you going to do about it?”

Excerpt #3
Fleet Sherman had written a love song. A love song for her.
As the last note faded, the tears Tula held bottled inside since the night they said goodbye fell unchecked. She wanted Fleet. Here. Where she could see him. Touch him. Never let him go.
“Where are you? Tula’s voice was surprisingly steady. “Why aren’t you here?”
“Turn around.”
Tula wanted to turn. More than anything. If only her body would cooperate.
“Never mind. I have you.” From behind, Fleet’s arms slid around Tula’s waist. Warm. Strong. Steady. “I’ll always have you. For as long you want me.”
Tula couldn’t keep the hitch from her voice. The question was too important. Maybe the most important question she’d ever asked.
“Mmm.” Fleet brushed his lips across her tear-soaked cheek.
