Rejecting her “be a good
girl and follow orders” directive, Nava unleashes an alter ego guaranteed

Excerpt
#1:
Looping my
fingers into his belt, I jerked his hips to mine. Rohan’s breath caught and
when I brushed my lips over the shell curves of his ear, his whole body went
tense. “Prove you’re worth it, baby.” Then I pushed him away, stalking off
without a look back, mostly sure that he followed.
The second we
got inside the empty elevator, Rohan shoved me up against the wall. I groped
for the third floor button, leaning into him. He ran his hands feverishly over
my body, hot tingles shivering through my breasts like a sexed-up call and
answer. The focused hunger in his expression had me craving more, except my
rapid breathing wasn’t all from arousal.
Given the barely
banked rage evident in the tense bunch of Rohan’s shoulders, the feeling was
mutual. Hopefully, he’d show no mercy in orgasm form and not body count, though
I couldn’t promise the same right now.
I bit his
earlobe, wanting to hurt him.
Rohan shot me a
cavalier smile in response. Holy crap. My knees buckled.
The sprint to my
room was a blur.
The second the
door slammed shut behind us, Rohan edged his face in close to mine, his palm
ghosting my cheek in the barest caress that sent slivery shimmers tumbling
through me.
I raised my
fingers to my mouth, not realizing what I’d done or that I ran them over my
lips until Rohan tracked the movement, his eyes glittering dangerously.
His tongue
flicked out, wetting his lower lip. He swayed in toward me and–

“No.” Taking his
hands in mine, I forced them behind me. Forced him to hold me there, his rings
biting into my skin. Forced him to make a decision; play by my rules or go.

RELEASE TOUR AND GIVEAWAY:THE CORNER OFFICE by Katerina Baker

The Corner Office
by Katerina Baker
Genre: New Adult Romance
Releases June 23rd, 2017
The man she’s always hated may finally take her down
TaraJohnson’s sacrifices are about to pay off: a senior executive at
thirty-five at a Fortune 500 company, she’s one of the two finalists
in line for a Managing Director position. Unfortunately, her rival of
fifteen years, the charming, infuriating Richard Boyd, is just as
qualified, and unlike her, he’s willing to cross pretty much every
line to get what he wants.
Of all the things Tara stored in the attic to make it to the top, it’s her personal life she misses
the most. That is, until she starts a steamy affair with sex god
Aidan, her direct report. Interoffice relationships with a
subordinate can mean the end of a career, and when Richard finds out,
it’s the perfect opportunity to take his high-heeled nemesis out,
especially since he’s still nursing a grudge against Tara for
rejecting him years ago.
But Tara’s increasingly
domineering lover has his own dark secrets, endangering more than
just her career. As her liaison spirals out of control, salvation
will come from the man she always thought she hated, and perhaps the
only one to truly understand

I sauntered to the elevator with my well-practiced “confident” walk, stretched my arm to push the button—

And my high-heeled sandal slipped.

My knee gave in, and I grabbed onto the first thing I could reach to prevent me from the total embarrassment of ending up on the floor in front of everyone. I turned to thank the helpful soul…and came face-to-face with Richard and a lazy twist of his lips settled in the corner of his mouth. I continued to squeeze his arm and my chest brushed his side. But it was more than that; he placed his other arm on my lower back to support me, and I felt a slight tug. The bastard pulled me closer to him in front of everyone watching and my space was suddenly invaded by the scent of his cologne. By Richard.

My insides tightened, and my lips pained as I was still trying to keep them in a semblance of a smile in front of everyone.

“You okay there?” he asked, his expression no less mocking than it was earlier. “You seem flustered. I understand. You finally get to see my place.”

The following moment was the testament to the long road that got me to that point in my career. All the brutal hours I’d slaved in the office, the hard work, missing friends’ events because of last-minute urgent assignments, working through my own birthdays—it all came down to that. My self-control to not kill Richard when every inch of my body believed spending the next twenty years in prison would be well worth it.

I smiled into his snake-green eyes, pushed his arm away and stepped into the elevator. Just as the doors closed separating us, as he thankfully decided to stay with the next group, I managed to think of an appropriate response. But it was too late.

**********************************

I needed to regroup, figure out what I really wanted. I wanted…something. But hooking up with a random guy definitely wasn’t it.

A woman had other ways to satisfy her sexual cravings. Mine came in trendy silver, with an electronically operated, “modest-sized” device designed specifically for ”her” pleasure. It was there for me when I needed it, it didn’t require any work on my part to get it ready, and it didn’t ask to rank our latest adventure when we were done. “Tara, sweetie, how was it? I feel like this one was at least a solid eight.” My Adam & Eve had a bit more common sense than that.

Today, our ”date” started just like it always did—a quick steamy shower to get my limbs soft and ready, and a little spritz of perfume (hey, I knew my date wasn’t real, but I was trying to get in the mood). I dropped onto my silk, thousand-thread-count sheets, and…nirvana.

Only the ordeal didn’t go according to my plan. The moment I closed my eyes, I saw Aidan’s face. Grinning and looking at me with a devilish smile on his face. His arm with the snake tattoo that went all the way up and around his bicep slid under my blouse and reached for my breasts. Hang on a minute. Why had Aidan invaded my intimate session with my vibrator? Why did he think he was welcome?

I needed a restart.

Some more perfume, extra pillows behind my back.

There, much better.

Ahh, it felt so good.

Aidan, that time bare-chested, showed me exactly where that tattoo disappeared. In the masculine curve between his hard bicep and his shoulder blade.

Damn it.

I wouldn’t be masturbating to the image of Aidan stripping in front of me. He was exerting himself for me at work, not for my climax. We might have shared burritos, but it still didn’t give him the right to turn into my made-up, perfect man who helped me release my tension at the end of a busy day.

Go away, Aidan.

Another attempt.

Total failure.

I was doing something wrong here. As a method of last resort, I tried to bring up the images of a real bad boy I’d met during my trip to Buenos Aires many years ago. Our one real night was steamy, but it couldn’t be compared to the many fake ones when I’d used those memories to help my battery-operated assistant.

Yet, no matter how hard I tried to work my tricks, the images of a bad boy came with a sexy tattoo on his arm, a set of mischievous dimples, and there was nothing remotely Hispanic in those sexy blue eyes.

Fifteen minutes later, orgasm-less and totally frustrated, I threw my vibrator aside and climbed under the covers.

*******************************

I turned and saw an impeccable suit and a sarcastic grin on the face of its owner. I stood up straight and gritted my teeth.

“Richard,” I hissed. “Have you spoken to your shrink yet? Why are you here?”

“The shrink gave up on me long ago.” He smirked. “I enjoyed your presentation. I almost forgot how inspiring you could be. Nice job. Wanna invite me as a guest speaker next time?”

“Is there a reason you came to listen to a Women’s Network event?”

“Why not? You wouldn’t want to exclude me just because I’m a man, would you?”

“No, I’d want to exclude you because you’re a jerk,” I countered and instantly regretted it, seeing his turned up lips and a smile soaked with sarcasm. Calling my “partner” a jerk wasn’t exactly what I’d call professional, but it was Richard, and I’d had a stressful day.

“By the way,” he said, “How come you aren’t married with two point five kids by now?”

I glared at him. “I chose not to. Why aren’t you?”

He folded his arms across his chest and slanted against the wall. “If you insist on rejecting me, I can always marry a twenty-year-old ten years from now.”

I advanced toward him, hands on hips. Of course, he never failed to turn our chat into utter travesty. “A twenty-year-old? How predictable.”

He smiled, and I hated that smile. It reminded me of him trying to pursue me during the training program when he thought I’d never say no to his less-than-smooth pickup techniques, which I knew he used on another girl that same evening.

Luckily, we heard footsteps, sparing us the continuation of our verbal insults, which would’ve likely lead us to lose our tempers, raise our voices, and turn the conversation into something else entirely. Briefcase fights. We’ve resorted to those. I hit him with my red purse in the midst of a passionate argument, forgetting it had my laptop. Richard survived; my laptop didn’t.

***********************

My mouth dropped open at what I saw.

Colorful ink formed a tattoo of a snake that twisted around his arm. A tattoo. It started from the middle of his forearm and disappeared into the sleeve at his elbow.

Wait a minute. Tattoos were taboo, a part of a bad-boy image. Bad boys—at least not those whose badness was openly displayed in the form of body art—did not hold leadership jobs at Fortune 500 companies. I once knew a CEO and I wouldn’t mention his name, so as to not cause him any embarrassment, who flew to Bermuda to get his tattoo removed. It was a tiny image of a skull on his back and nobody would have found out that he had it, if only he weren’t planning a New Year’s Eve bash. Which, at the insistence of his girlfriend, was going to happen at a spa where all the guests would be in their bathing suits. Needless to say, the CEO had flown as far away from New York as possible to guarantee he wouldn’t run into anyone he knew and got rid of the forbidden skin art and his reputation was saved.

So, as we dug into our burritos, I kept glancing at his tattoo. Trying to imagine how high up his arm the snake ended. Would it be covering his entire bicep or end just above his elbow? Perhaps I was staring a little too openly, but the discovery was a bit too shocking.

*********************************

“How’s Jake, Martha?” Richard asked. “Got any new photos?”

Martha shifted her weight from one foot to the other, glancing from Richard to me and back. I sighed. I mentally promised to tell her later I wasn’t mad that she’d shared her grandson’s photos with Richard. Actually, I was mad, but not at her. Was it unreasonable to be angry that my nemesis knew about my admin’s family?

She muttered something under her breath and left, and I turned to Richard. “Well?”

“I didn’t know I had to make an appointment to work on the project that John entrusted to the two of us, Tara.”

“If you’ve got nothing better to do than wait for me, I s’pose that’s okay. It’s eleven, must be coffee break hour for you.”

He shook his head, as if he were finding me quite troublesome. “I checked your schedule, and I knew you’d be back from your morning meeting by now.”

“Could you be any creepier?”

He wiggled his eyebrows. “I’m resourceful.”

BOOK TOUR AND GIVEAWAY: The Chandler Affairs BY G.W. Renshaw

The Stable Vices Affair
The Chandler Affairs Book 1
By G.W. Renshaw
Genre: Paranormal Mystery
Veronica Chandler has worked hard
to become a private investigator. At the age of eight she got a baton
for Christmas—just like Mummy’s. At 12, she started working at
her father’s restaurant so she’d have the money for the
investigator’s course. At 16, she became an intern with the Calgary
Police Service. And now, at 18, she’s the youngest licensed PI in
Alberta.
As her ex-boyfriend can attest,
she has the skills. As a psychotic killer discovers, she has the
will. Now she’s ready to take on the world: To find the lost and
expose the faithless.
None of which prepare her for a
house that can’t decide whether it’s empty, one or two perverse
dwarfs with a bizarre hold over their victims, a kinky pony show, and
a secret global organization. Every clue leads to more questions.
Four lives depend on Veronica finding the answers.
And then there’s that pesky
losing-your-soul thing.
The Prince and the Puppet Affair
The Chandler Affairs Book 2
Alyssa Blakeway is so submissive
it’s a miracle she left her house, let alone asked Veronica to find
out if her abusive husband is also cheating on her.
When Veronica finds out who
Collin Blakeway is actually going to see, things go from bad to worse
to deadly. They also challenge Veronica’s most deeply held beliefs
as she discovers that demons and magic are real.
It’s no longer a matter of
saving a marriage. Now she has to save the lives of Alyssa, her
sister Kali, an unknown woman, and herself. All while avoiding being
killed by her sister for acting stupidly.
If an arborist, a coven of
Witches, the Vatican, the Freemasons, a Native Elder, and an old
bicycle can’t save them, who can?
The Kalevala Affair
The Chandler Affairs Book 3
Being shot at and landing in
protective custody certainly cramps a PI’s style, so when a group
of collectors want Veronica to track down an historical artifact in
England, she jumps at the chance. They’ll even handle recovery, so
all she has to do is find the item. It’s a piece of cake.
There are a few details that were
left out. Everybody is after this thing. Veronica has to dodge
bullets meant for another PI, get chased all over Europe by Finnish
terrorists, tries not to violate every national park in the world,
and has to put up with an English investigator who insists on
accompanying her.
Of course, the artifact turns out
to be more dangerous than she was led to believe. Veronica has to
trust somebody who tried to remove her head, decide the fate of the
world, and survive an angry volcano. At least she’s getting paid
for it. If she can collect.
The True Love Affair
The Chandler Affairs Book 4
Veronica has just gotten home
after solving a minor case in Mexico involving kidnapping, betrayal,
bank fraud, and a Colombian drug cartel when an old acquaintance show
up to hire her. Somebody has been committing impossible murders all
over the world, and Veronica is the only person qualified to stop the
killer before the body count soars.
The problems start with her
client. Can she trust a demon prince not to send her back to therapy
or worse for another year? What, if any, is his hidden agenda? Is
anything at all as it seems?
Veronica thought she had a handle
on magic and demons, but as soon as she starts investigating it’s
obvious that all the rules have changed. She’s playing in the big
leagues now, and she’s going to have to move heaven and hell to
keep humanity alive. Starting with herself.
Now, if she can only survive
dinner with her family, a blind date, a small immigration problem,
and working with the federal cabinet, it’s possible that all will
be well.
Or at least as well as it can be
when you have to deal with insane immortals and a talking cat.
G.W. Renshaw lives in Calgary, Alberta with his lovely wife and Romulus
the cat. He likes to write stories that range from the unusual to the
bizarre.
He has picked up a variety of skills over the years: gunner in the

Chito Ryu Karate, computer programmer, Linux druid, Search and Rescue
manager, caving, rock climbing, and archery. He learned man tracking
from Terry Grant (the original
ManTracker on
TV). He also learned a variety of medieval skills while in the
Society for Creative Anachronisms.

SPOTLIGHT, BOOK TOUR AND GIVE AWAY: Avenging Kiss BY Karen Tjebben

Psychological Romantic/Suspense
Date Published:  December 2016
 photo add-to-goodreads-button_zpsc7b3c634.png
Some sins cannot be forgiven. Those must be avenged.
When Aditya Chopra stumbled upon the decimated camp, she vowed to hunt down the men who killed her sister. The stench of burnt flesh and the taste of death in the air haunt her dreams and power her lust for vengeance. She will show no mercy.
The men of Savage Security served their country. They’d done their time in the sandbox and now enjoy their peaceful lives in the States, far from the death and mayhem of war. Will living in peace blind them to the dangerous threat that’s poised to strike?

Excerpts from Avenging Kiss

Logan pushed his cart around an endcap and started down another aisle. He stopped suddenly when he saw her, the woman from the bar. She looked just as good standing in the aisle in yoga pants as she had last night in her dress. She held jars of spaghetti sauce and was clearly debating between the brands.

Was it kismet that she stood in his grocery store the day after spotting her at the bar? He inhaled and worked out his plan as he approached.

“That one has a stronger garlic flavor.” Logan pointed to one of the jars in her hands. “The other one’s sweeter.”

Aditya turned her head to look over her shoulder at the man talking to her about pasta sauce. She liked what she saw. “Really?” she asked, raising an eyebrow. She didn’t hide that she was checking him out. She made it obvious as her eyes raked over his body. He was cute, and he probably knew it. He had that ‘guy next door’ look about him, but his body was clearly more fit than the average Joe. “How lucky for me that I ran into a spaghetti sauce connoisseur.”

Her smile and the flirty lilt in her voice nearly undid him. She was flirting back. He could work with that. “Logan Murphy.” He held out his hand, and when her feminine fingers smoothed across his, his manhood took notice.

“Aditya Chopra,” she replied. She held up the jar in her left hand and waved it. “Garlic can be so off-putting.” She set the jar back on the shelf and eyed him again. “I prefer sweet and smooth.” She knew her lips eased into a natural smile. Spending time with this man could end up being very pleasurable.

Sweet and smooth, that was exactly how he saw her. She didn’t hide her sweet curves, and Logan had a feeling she’d be smooth under his touch. “I think I saw you last night.” Had she noticed him?

“At The Grill House?” she asked. Her eyebrows rose in recognition. “I thought you looked familiar.” She rested one arm on the shopping cart and took a more relaxed stance.

“A few men offered to buy you a drink, but you refused,” he stated. He was determined to find out if she was dating someone before he got too invested in this flirtation.

Her eyes sparkled as she understood his statement for what it was. A fishing expedition. “I was supposed to meet a friend, but he never showed,” she said with a shrug. A smart woman lets a man think she has other potential suitors. It activated some sort of primal need in men to hunt and claim what they wanted.

Logan wanted to sink his hands into the dark spiraling curls that hung below her shoulders and press his lips against hers.  Her beauty mysteriously called to him, like some siren captivating unsuspecting men. He’d watched her all night at The Grill House. He wasn’t going to waste this opportunity. “If you’re hungry, I make lasagna that will melt in your mouth.” He knew he’d melt in her mouth.

Her lips curved into a smile as her dark brown eyes shimmered with playfulness. “Lasagna, huh?” She inhaled deeply and caught his subtle glance at her chest. She knew she was smaller than a lot of women, but a man had never not enjoyed being with her. She understood that how one used their assets was more important than size. Some men used their manhood like battering rams, endlessly pounding furiously against a woman’s most tender spot. Sex with those men was the worst. That tender area could only take so much friction before discomfort settled in. How that wasn’t obvious was a mystery to her. She preferred the smooth glide of a firm cock caressing her, teasing and tempting her towards release.

“So,” she began, “I could bring a salad,” she paused and one side of her lips rose in a tempting smile, “or dessert?”

Logan liked the way she said dessert. Like it was something filled with possibilities that she planned to savor and enjoy. “Either would be fine.”

“Hmm,” she eyed him as she nibbled on her lip. “I don’t make a habit of going to strange men’s homes.”

“Then you’re in luck. I’m not strange.” He casually shrugged his shoulders. “You can text my address to a BFF if that makes you more comfortable.” Was that the phrase women used? “That way she’ll know where you are. I promise… I’m safe.” He pressed his hand to his chest.

“Said the spider to the fly.” She set the jar of sauce in her cart. “Curious though,” she already knew that she’d go, but she still wanted to flirt a little to see his reaction. “What makes you so sure that you’ll be safe with me?” She cocked her head to the side and maintained eye contact.

He knew far too well how a tiny woman could destroy a man. There was no sufficient armor to protect the heart. “I have a feeling you’re worth the risk.”

2.

Aditya had waited outside the American base, hoping to catch sight of him. His look was very distinct. At six foot four with hair the color of a raging fire, he’d been easy to spot. He’d pulled out of the base with another man in a jeep. The hot wind pulled at his scraggly red hair as he’d laughed at something the other man said.

She’d known where they were going. There was a hotel nearby that catered to Europeans and Americans. It boasted a full bar with live music, decent food, and willing women.

After donning her black garments and niqab, she’d made her way into the hotel. Other than the cameras that covered the entrances and exits, security at the hotel was poor. One only had to get inside to enjoy privacy.

Aditya had entered the hotel a few feet behind the men. As they’d headed towards the bar, she’d walked directly to the bathroom off the lobby. Entering the stall, she’d quickly removed her outer clothes and shoved them into her bag. Then she’d stopped in front of the bathroom mirror to check her appearance. After adjusting her skirt, she’d decided to open another button on her shirt. While he’d get a peek at her cleavage, she’d still look like a respectable woman. Playing a whore gathered too much attention. She’d added a touch of lipstick and powdered her face. And finally, she’d adjusted the Kanzashi Geisha sticks in her hair to make sure it would be easily accessible. Hidden inside the stick was a sharp two-sided blade. It was thin and slid easily from the decorative case. And after one more look in the mirror, she was ready.

She’d walked into the bar with the confidence of a Western woman and noticed Lieutenant Shaw sitting alone at the bar. His friend was dancing with a woman, his hand palming her ass and pulling her close to his body. Aditya didn’t waste time. She needed to get to Shaw before he found someone to screw.

She’d slipped onto the bar stool next to him and offered him a shy smile. He’d grinned as he raked his gaze over her. His high-wattage smile had nearly knocked her over. The heat in his gaze as he’d mentally undressed her pleased her. She returned his smile and stared at his muscular arms as she bit into her bottom lip. With that one interaction, she knew that he wanted her. He’d come to the hotel in search of sex, and she didn’t plan to disappoint.

He’d been such an easy target. Arrogant men never realized the threat a woman could pose to them, and she’d tirelessly worked that advantage. They’d quickly exchanged names and engaged in meaningless chatter. But once she’d stroked his knee, he’d taken the bait and asked her to join him in a room.

She’d played coy at first, acting as if she’d needed to think about it. But then he’d leaned in close and whispered in her ear promises of pleasure. And then, as he’d pulled away, he playfully tugged on her earlobe with his teeth. She’d responded by stroking higher on his thigh. That worked for him, and he stood to go back to a room. His pants had tented nicely; apparently it didn’t take much to turn him on.

She’d followed him to a room. He’d unlocked the door and waited for her to enter first. As she’d stood in the entrance, he’d closed the door and turned the bolt. After a dangerous smile, he’d lifted her and pressed her against the wall with his muscular body. She’d instinctively wrapped her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck. In response, he’d rubbed his cock against her center. The pressure of his body against her had lit her up. He knew how to kiss, and Aditya realized that fucking him would be fun. So many of the other men she’d entertained cared little about her pleasure. She hadn’t expected much from those lowlifes anyway. But little had they known that there was nothing more erotic than the warmth of your prey’s blood washing over your skin as you take their life.

The moment Jack had been waiting for finally arrived when the restaurant door opened and in walked Bella. Jack took her in. Her petite form was sheathed in a red dress that hugged her in all the right places. The plunging neckline accentuated her firm breasts and the skirt cradled her ass. He’d never seen her wear anything like that to work.

Bella’s smile radiated joy, and her eyes sparkled with happiness. Her long black hair with the pink tips fell beautifully over her shoulders. She was Jack’s weakness.  He wasn’t sure which part of her called to him more. Her sweet personality that brightened every day at Savage Security, or her fantasy worthy, smoking hot body. Those two traits combined made her the most desirable woman he’d ever known. From the moment they’d met, he’d recognized the sincerity and kindness in her eyes. In his line of work, he didn’t see much of that. He dealt with the dregs of society, and when he’d met Bella, he realized that she was the antidote to the cynicism that orbited him. And now as he took her in, he knew that he either needed to get over her or claim her as his own.

Bella looked over her shoulder and reached back with one hand. Behind her, a man reached out and locked hands with her. She smiled at him as he stepped beside her. Jack’s brows pulled together as the man’s body brushed against hers. Jack’s blood turned molten. He stared at them as they made their way towards the Christmas tree to drop off the toy she carried.

Cole couldn’t have been happier as he watched Jack’s reaction to Bella’s friend. If he’d realized Bella would show up with a man, he would have taken out his phone to record the look on Jack’s face.

The air around Jack thinned. He struggled to catch his breath. It felt like he’d been sucker punched by a gorilla.

Bella looked happy. With a man.

Jack shook his head in shock and finally remembered to breathe. “Who the hell is that?” Jack sneered. Irritation laced his words. His night had gone from promising to miserable in the period of a heartbeat. With each step the man took, Jack studied the intruder. The man’s short cropped blond hair stood in a messy, spikey jumble on top with the sides cut short. A short-trimmed beard and mustache completed his look. His clothes fit him well, the style current and fashionable. He looked like he’d stepped out of a magazine photoshoot after being prepped and perfected by professionals.

This male version of a fashionista’s relationship with Bella was not going to continue. Jack would definitely put an end to this man’s dreams of bedding his woman.

Mike watched the happy couple stroll to the Christmas tree. This was a new development. He hadn’t heard Bella talk about a man. Did Alisha know about this? He’d be sure to ask her.

Jack tore his eyes from Bella and looked at Cole. “Did you know about this?” He subtly pointed towards Bella and the mystery man on the other side of the room. “Did you know that she was bringing a friend tonight?”

Cole chuckled low. His shoulders rose and fell as his chuckle strengthened into a laugh. “No, but I think the night just got a hell of a lot better.” At least Cole suddenly felt much better. It was clear from Jack’s reaction that he didn’t need to worry about Julia. Jack’s OCD was about to be unleashed on the stranger who’d dared to put the moves on Bella. He knew it was going to kill Jack to watch her with a man tonight, especially one that may go home with her. He almost started to feel sorry for him.

Bella squeezed Eric’s hand. She was thankful that her dry spell was over. It had been a while since she’d been with a man. Sure, she was surrounded by macho, manly-men all day, and her friends were jealous that she worked in the midst of all that sexy testosterone, but they didn’t know the downside.

She was surrounded by all that testosterone.

The men she worked with were intense. Not the ‘their favorite team is playing their rival so they turn into madmen for a few hours’. No, everything about her coworkers was hardcore. They took everything seriously, and even their presence could be intimidating. Sometimes she felt as if she worked in a pressure cooker. She figured the men were probably sitting in the restaurant right now assessing threats, probably had been since they’d entered and probably would until they left. They never let their guard down.
