Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.
In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!

combustible as the powerful attraction between them. For Leira is
marked for death by the very forces who killed his mother. The very
darkness that stole everything he held most dear. Only this time,
Julian is stronger, more in control of his powers than ever. But will
it be enough to save Leira from those who would destroy her?

What inspired you to become a writer?
For as long as I can remember, I have always been an avid reader. I like several different genres and when I find a new one, I become obsessed. In 2011, I discovered, really by accident, Jane Austen fan fiction (JAFF) and I was hooked. And, like I said, I had become obsessed. I was reading two to three books a day. It had gotten to the point that I felt that I was running out of JAFF to read. When I had expressed this to my best friend and her two daughters, they all replied, in unison, “Write your own.” Up until that point, I had never thought that I could be a writer. But with their encouragement, and the support of my husband, I set out to write my first novel and A Royal Disposition was born.
What are your hobbies?
My husband is in the Air Force, so I spend a lot of time at home alone. I work full-time for a home improvement company. Also, I have three rescue dogs and a horse that keep me busy. I enjoy other creative hobbies as well like painting and basket weaving.
What interests are you into? – See hobbies above.
What social media do you use to contact with your fans? Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter – Facebook and Twitter mostly
do you have another job other than writing? Yes, I am the business manager for a home improvement company
How long have you been writing for? I started writing in the late summer of 2011 and my first novel, A Royal Disposition was published the end of May 2012.
What’s your writing style like? I don’t think I have a particular writing style. I have written contemporary and historical genres, I guess I just adapt my style to what I am writing.
Some writers have something playing in the background, do you and what? That depends on what I am writing, but usually it is either music related to the genre that I am writing in or something on the tv that I can listen to, but not necessarily watch.
What’s the inspiration behind your books?
My husband – he’s my biggest fan.
If you could do it all over again, would you change anything about your books?
I don’t think I would change anything about my books, but if I could go back, I would definitely have started writing at a younger age.
Is there anything you found particularly challenging about writing?
Once I have the book written, I feel it is important to edit it myself before I send it off to my editor. This is a huge challenge for me cause I find myself wanting to rewrite and change and when I do that, then I have to go back through and make sure everything coincides with the change. It’s frustrating.
Who are your cover designers? Ellie Augsburger with Creative Digital Studios
what authors are your inspiration?
I’m a huge fan of J.K. Rowling. I think her writing is phenomenal and her imagination is over the top. What I would give to get inside her head. It would definitely be a wild ride.
Also, The British classics have been a huge influence in my life. Novels by Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters, Thomas Hardy and Charles Dickens I have read numerous times and will continue to do so. They all have been mentors to me in one form or another.
What is your take on fanfiction?
I’m a huge fan of fanfiction. How can I not be, my first two novels were fanfics of Pride and Prejudice.
What advice would you give any newbie author or anyone that wants to pick up writing?
First of all, anything is possible. If it’s a dream, pursue it and don’t give up. But, remember to do your homework. Plan to spend some money; you will be glad you did in the end. Find a good editor and cover designer. These aspects are so important and should be professionally done. They are the first impressions your readers will have of your books. An editor can make or break a book. A good one will make you a better writer. Be sure to use the free resources available to you to promote your work, such as social media, Amazon and Goodreads to name a few. There are so many out there. Don’t get discouraged when you get a bad review. You will not please everyone. It’s impossible. Instead, if it is a constructive review, use it to your advantage. And finally, make friends with other authors. Learn from their experiences and don’t be afraid to ask for advice. The number of authors that are more than willing to help you get your foot in the literary world would surprise you.

Tell us about your Book/S?
The Knights of Silence MC series is my pride and joy. It is my first attempt to write my own characters, develop them and subsequently fall in love with them. And, it’s in a genre that is totally different than what I started in. It has been a challenge for me and the result is a product that is all my own. That makes me a very proud writer. The series right now is going to consist of four books, but who knows, that may change. Ice, the first in the series was published in September 2016. The second book in the series releases this month on June 23. I am currently working on book 3 in the series, Celtic Dragon, and I am hoping on a spring 2018 release or sooner.
Tell us a little about yourself. Perhaps something not many people know about? Can you share with us the best way to contact you and where to find your work? This is where you have the floor.
I wasn’t sure what all you wanted here, so I have attached my media kit below. It includes bio info, links and teasers to my books.
Amy Cecil writes contemporary and historical romance. Her novel, ICE is the first in the Knights of Silence MC series. When she isn’t writing, she is spending time with her husband, friends and her adored fur-family. She is a member of the Romance Writers of America (RWA) and the Published Authors Network (PAN). She was a winner in the 2015 and 2016 NanNoWriMo writing contests and a nominee in Metamorph Publishing’s Indie Book 2016 contest in historical romance.
She lives in North Carolina with her husband, Kevin, and their three dogs, Hobbes, Koda and Karma and her horse, Baylee. She just finished her third novel, ICE and is currently working on the second book in the Knights of Silence Series, ICE on Fire.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a book (or two) that I was reading. I’ve enjoyed reading all types of genres and love to get lost within the pages of whatever story I’m engrossed in at the time. I’ve never given much thought to becoming a writer myself until just a few years ago, when my best friend suggested that I write my own book. I had been reading Jane Austen Fan Fiction (JAFF) at the time and I had read several of them. I had gotten to the point where I was afraid that I was going to run out of that particular genre to read. I was telling her about a story that I had thought about and that nobody had written that scenario yet that I had seen. Her reply was, “You should write it.” It wasn’t until that moment that I actually seriously thought about writing. I wrote A Royal Disposition in thirty days. The words just poured out of my head and I was constantly writing. I carried a notebook with me at all times. One laid on my nightstand next to my bed, they were everywhere; but I just couldn’t risk coming up with an idea and not being able to record it. Since then, I’ve become a little more sophisticated and I use my phone or iPad to record those moments.
Next to spending time with my husband and my furbabies, there is nothing I enjoy more than writing. Recently, I moved away from historical fiction and moved into contemporary. It’s been an incredible challenge for me and I’ve had so much fun creating the bad boys of the Knights of Silence Motorcycle Club. I haven’t completely walked away from JAFF and hope to create another Darcy and Elizabeth love story, but right now, the Knights need me.
